Rich and round taste. Winy notes of ripe and dried fruit combine with
spicy perfumes of leather, tobacco and coffee that enhance the grappa
typicality. Full taste, velvety, robust and harmonious.
It seems that
the Amarone wine
was first made by a farmer
who forgot a cask of Recioto wine
in his cellar
for a couple of years.
There the wine fermented
until it became dry.
In fact the word Amarone
means “absence of sweet”:
it is a dry, not a bitter wine.
Amarone carries the D.O.C. label
and has become
one of the most sought after wines.
Its production process
is still inspired to the original one
and, according to the actual rules
and procedures of production,
the blend must be mainly composed
of traditional grapes,
such as Corvina,
Rondinella and Molinara.
We recommend a Chardonnay type tasting glass and a serving temperature
around 12 ° C. The Grappa alle uve of Amarone requires a short
oxygenation before being tasted.
